FEDERAL LANDS
Wyoming is 42.3% public federal land. Open spaces and public federal lands are a defining feature in Wyoming and throughout much of the west. These lands are owned by us, the public, and managed by two agencies within the federal government: the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Department of Agriculture’s United States Forest Service (USFS). Below are links to the agencies that manage public lands within the boundaries of our Bighorn Audubon Chapter.
